Chili’s is one of our favorite places to go out to eat as a family! They have a great menu that has something for everyone on it. My personal favorite is the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Hanna loves to get the Macaroni & Cheese with mandarin oranges on the side and Nick really likes the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. If we get an appetizer, all three of us agree on the Skillet Queso that’s served with warm tostada chips and Chili’s house-made salsa. Yum!
The last time we visited Chili’s, instead of getting two meals like we normally would, we thought it would be fun for Hanna and I to split a Triple Dipper from the appetizer menu. The Triple Dipper features a list of 10 different appetizers and you get to pick 3 of them on one plate! For our 3 items, I got my favorite appetizer there, the Southwestern Eggrolls (A crispy flour tortilla filled with smoked chicken, black beans, corn, jalapeño Jack cheese, red peppers and spinach. Served with avocado-ranch dressing.) Oh so yummy! Hanna got the Chicken Crispers and then, because she begged me asked so nicely, we chose the Fried Cheese sticks for our third item. Each item came with it’s own matching dip, too. The Chicken Crispers come with a Honey-Mustard dip but our waitress was kind enough to swap it out for some Ranch for Hanna. The Triple Dipper made a filling meal on it’s own but would be great to get as an appetizer if you had a group with a bigger appetite!
While we were eating our dinner, the Triple Dipper sparked a conversation about if we could have our three favorite foods on one plate, what would they be? First I said a fillet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Then I scratched that and said, chicken enchiladas, guacamole, and a taco. Ultimately, we decided it was too hard to choose.
