Last week I was pleasantly surprised to get an email from none other than the Fairy Hobmother.  If you are a part of the blogosphere you might have heard of him (yes, the Hobmother is a he.)Bottles of Fairy Dust with Wand If you haven’t, and you’re a blogger, pay attention.  Matthew, the Fairy Hobmother, works for a great UK company, Appliances Online, which sells things like freezers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.  He goes around visiting bloggers and gifting them with Amazon Gift Cards just with the simple request that you share a little about him in a post.  Easy peasy.  I’m sure you’re wondering, just how does he pick the bloggers that he chooses to gift?  Simple, leave a comment on a blog post that’s been written about him and hopefully he’ll fly by your blog and drop you a little fairy dust too!

Oh, and aren’t those little bottles of fairy dust with their tiny wands so adorable?  Yeah, I found them on Amazon while I was figuring out what to spend my gift card on.  I ended up getting some of my new favorite Peach flavored Swirl Green Tea – it’s awesome if you haven’t tried it yet.  The tea bags are designed to be cold-brewed and they are perfectly shaped to slide into a water bottle.  I’ve been getting in a ton more water lately just by adding them in to a bottle.  And, I got a new reusable iced coffee cup (which I use for basically any cold drinks.)  I still have a good chunk of the gift card left to use for a rainy day too.

If the Fairy Hobmother came to visit you, what would you spend your Amazon Gift Card on?

Disclosure:  I was given a gift card in exchange for this post.  As always, all thoughts are my own.

  10. Oh boy, I could really use a visit right now! Everything seems to be breaking down in my house from my hair dryer to my refrigerator. We’ll see what the GE guy says today, but I’d likely use my amazon gift card for a new fridge! Lacking that, diapers and other essentials. We’re in “need” mode – wants will have to wait a while!
